Oil Painting 101

I have always loved to paint but up until a few weeks ago, I had never tried oil painting. My mom helped me get signed up to take some classes from a well known local artist named Bob Tompkins. I thought it would be pretty easy to pick up once I got the process figured out, but it is more of a challenge than I thought. It is pretty much backwards from acrylic and watercolor painting processes. So far, I have done a terra cotta pot (that's what Bob makes everyone do first) and then two green apples. I am still working on the apples, but this is what I have done so far!
