Viking Celebration Dinner Party
One of my Dad's New Year's resolutions was to learn how to cook. He is pretty good on a grill, but doesn't have much experience when it comes to actually cooking from a recipe in the kitchen. In an effort to work on his skills and have some bonding time with Graeme and I (who both love to cook), he signed us up for a class at the Viking Cooking School in Ridgeland. We took the "Celebration Dinner Party" class, which included a mixed green salad with blue cheese croutons and pears, wild mushroom stuffed filets, smoked lobster tails with a lemon chive beurre blanc, lobster mashed potatoes, and a chocolate mousse soufflé with ginger creme anglaise and candied ginger on top. It was so fun and the food was absolutely delicious!! This class was a little pricier than the others due to the ingredients we used, but it was totally worth it. I would highly recommend it for a fun night out with friends or a good date night. So fun!
