The Nashville Southern Living Idea House

This past weekend, I went to Nashville with my mom for a wedding. My cousin Kathryn lives in Nashville, so we got to stay with her and do a little shopping and sightseeing. One of the things we did was to go to the Southern Living Idea House. It was definitely one of the most unique floor plans I have ever seen. There is one main house that includes the living room, study, kitchen, dining room, master suite, etc. Then in 4 separate "houses" were two large guest suites and two small ones. They each had a bedroom, bathroom, and small kitchenette. The lower level of one of the guest suites housed a 3-car garage with a huge sliding farmhouse door. There were large porches wrapping around and connecting most of it and providing lots of space to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Everything was decorated for Christmas and it was just beautiful! I had so much fun touring it. The tours will continue until the end of this year and then it will be turned into a bed and breakfast. Definitely go check it out if you are in the area!! Here are some of the pictures that I took:

The  Main Living Room - as seen from the kitchen
the Study

The Master - I love all the windows!

The Master - check out that view!!

Master Bath

Master Closet - I mean, seriously??

Back porch - It connects between the Master Suite and the Dining Area off the Kitchen

The Kitchen - Mom checking out that triple sink :)

The Powder Room

Kathryn enjoying the porch swing!

The Front Porch - They had the coolest rain catchers hanging from all the gutters. I bet it sounds great when it rains!

One of the large guest suites - My favorite by far! This is totally my style.

The suite's little kitchenette area

One of the little guest suites. Isn't it cute??

I love how they hung the mirror in front of the window here to keep the natural light!

the other Small Guest suite (on the right)

the Garage and 2nd of the Larger Guest Suites (upstairs)

the precious Dog House!! :)

The back side of the house

the Floor Plan for the whole house, minus the other large guest suites and 2 small ones.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures! You can see more at the Southern Living website!

  1. Basically its about finding the place that we normally get to see i mean when it comes to staying productive or the company you run when its about the outcome with the touring that always have to be quite positive which can work sensibly and at the same time buses from columbus to nyc is a perfect source that normally help us with many of the general factors.
