Highland Park Village

A couple of weekends ago, my mom, dad and I went to Dallas to visit my brother Graeme. He has been telling us for several years about the beautiful Christmas lights at Highland Park Village, a local upscale shopping center. Highland Park is a very wealthy neighborhood in Dallas full of gorgeous homes. Most of the homeowners decorate their houses and trees with beautiful lights and then horse drawn carriages take people around at night to enjoy it all. Of course, we had to see for ourselves! We bundled up, grabbed coffee and hot chocolate and climbed into our own carriage complete with blankets and Christmas music. We had so much fun! We are definitely going to have to make a yearly tradition of it. They don't mess around in Texas. They wrap every twig on every branch. The pictures don't do it justice. It is truly a winter wonderland!
